Bought this for my grandson who is just starting a career in the Navy. The book is bound well, on excellent paper and has many high quality photographs. Unfortunately it was shipped in just a padded envelope and the cover has been damaged in seven places. I’m not happy that such a quality book was not properly packaged for shipping.
Bought this just for the nostalgia....reminds me of my time in the Navy.
My original got lost during a major flood event in 1997. When I saw this handsome modern issue, I had to get it! Thanks!

I was looking for the earlier addition for 1960Hope you can help with that
I’ve already purchased the 24th edition earlier last year but this new edition brings with it a nice reorganization of its contents. For people enlisting and wanting further knowledge, the chapters are for you. For those already in, this edition features a TABS section which is basically a recall of important information. There are more pictures added this go around and a majority of them are in color. This is the most up-to-date of the Navy so if you’re looking to get your hands on one, go ahead and get one! Set sails!
